Manifesto for General Representative and College Representative – ANUSA Election 2024
Dear ANU Community,
I am excited to present my candidacy for both General Representative and College Representative in the ANUSA Election 2024. With your support, I am determined to make our university experience more inclusive, engaging, and responsive to your needs. Here’s my vision and plan for how I will achieve this:
My Vision
- Empowerment through Engagement
- Inclusive Representation: I am committed to ensuring that every student’s voice is heard and valued. I will create opportunities for all student groups to share their concerns and ideas, making sure that feedback is actively sought and acted upon.
- Active Participation: I will initiate regular forums, workshops, and town halls where students can directly engage with me and discuss their thoughts and issues.
- Support for Academic and Personal Growth
- Enhanced Academic Resources: I will advocate for increased support for academic resources, including improving study spaces, expanding library resources, and enhancing mental health services.
- Career Development: I will work to expand career services and internship opportunities, helping you gain practical experience and develop your professional skills.
- Campus Well-being and Safety
- Safe and Inclusive Spaces: I am dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces on campus where everyone feels welcome and supported. This includes promoting mental health awareness and supporting initiatives that foster a positive campus environment.
- Sustainable Practices: I will support and implement sustainable practices to make our campus environmentally responsible and resilient.
- Strengthening College Representation
- Fair Representation: Each college has unique needs and concerns. I will listen actively to the specific issues of your college and ensure they are addressed effectively.
- College Collaboration: I will work to improve collaboration between colleges to share resources, ideas, and initiatives that benefit the entire student body.
- Transparent and Accountable Leadership
- Open Communication: I will be transparent in my actions and decisions, providing regular updates on my progress and seeking your input continually.
- Accountability: I will be accountable to you by establishing clear metrics to evaluate my performance and making adjustments based on your feedback.
My Plan
- Create an Engagement Strategy
- Monthly Open Forums: I will host monthly forums where you can discuss your concerns and provide feedback.
- Survey and Feedback Channels: I will implement regular surveys to gather input on various aspects of campus life.
- Enhance Academic Support
- Resource Allocation Review: I will collaborate with university administration to assess and improve the allocation of academic resources.
- Career Services Expansion: I will work with career services to increase internship placements and career workshops.
- Promote Campus Well-being
- Mental Health Initiatives: I will partner with mental health organizations to offer more workshops and support services.
- Sustainability Campaigns: I will launch campaigns to promote sustainability and reduce our campus’s carbon footprint.
- Strengthen College Ties
- Inter-College Events: I will organize inter-college events to foster community and share best practices.
- College-Specific Committees: I will establish committees within each college to address localized issues and enhance communication.

- Quarterly Reports: I will publish quarterly reports on my activities and achievements.
